The Government of India on 24th December 1986 enacted the Consumer Protection Act, 1986 to safeguard the interests of the consumer and redress their complaints and resolve their consumer disputes. The Act has enabled customers to secure less expensive and speedy redressal of their grievances. [1]

This means it stands as an online equivalent of retail chains like Big Bazaar or Shoppers Stop? Can you please explain in brief if there are some distinctive features that separate Online Marketplace from a Traditional Brick & Mortar Shop?
